Since Gold Standard requires contracts with every single farmer on Land Use or Forestry Project, how do contracts with associations work?

Gold Standard does insist on individual/user level agreements as they are the actual owners of Emission Reduction and not the associations. For all decentralized thermal energy projects like cookstoves, household biogas projects, etc. the individual users sign the transfer of ER ownership agreements. Also, one other way could be to involve these associations to work with the farmers to get these agreements signed. If the farmers trust the associations, then the association can help the farmers understand the nature of the agreement through local stakeholder consultations.
